Latest Discoveries of Amunhotep's Temple
It's unbelievable Dr. Hedwig Sousing with her crew of Jonathan and Nathan dug these huge statues our of three metres of mud. Working for her own company and World Monuments Fund Dr. Sousing was been unearthing the Mortuary Temple of Millions of Years, of Amunhotep III. This temple was the largest temple ever built, but the Nile river and an Earthquake had something to say about its destiny. This photo show the two colossi that formed the Northern entrance. There were six more huge statues of the king and his wife.
