So I wrote the second book and was very concerned that it was too episodic, like just one event after another. Then I realized that the discovery of the 'pit of bones' that Jonathan and the Egyptologist, Dr. Czerny, discovered was a major event. So what was the result. That event and the ancient ritual that occured at night forced the novel to shift and give it the spine it needed.
